Awaiting Testing Card

Filed under: Nursing — shelly @ 9:00 am

I’ve been “pinned” and “walked” in commencement! That part is over.
Now the wait has begun for the all important “Authorization To Test (ATT)” card to arrive in either my email or the snail mail box. Of course, it would have been helpful if the school had told us to register online with the testing company!! Grrrr! That probably would have saved me weeks of waiting. Oh well, I registered yesterday…I should have it within a couple weeks now.
The testing center is about 10 minutues from my house. In California we can check the Board of Nursing website to see if we’ve passed in about 48 hours after testing! Therefore, I am still hoping to know, either way, by my birthday (July 1).
On the job front!
I have been offered two positions. Both are at Sharp Memorial Hospital. Both are on the 7th floor. The floor is divided into two units 7N and 7S. 7S is an ortho/neuro/tramua/bariatric unit and 7N is an ICU stepdown/transplant unit. 7N has the higher acuity – I’m leaning that way.
Summer is here!
The kids are out of school (boo hiss!!). Matthew “graduated” from Kindergarten this week and Katelyn graduated from 6th grade! Next year Matthew will be in FIRST GRADE! David will be in FIFTH grade and Katelyn will be in SEVENTH grade!!! Where has the time gone?!?!
Luckily, Summer Fun Club start on Monday!! Woo hoo! So I only have to listen to chants of “I’m bored!” until then.
